BABY UPDATE!! Breeding and raising baby Black Moscows is not easy. This trio is one we feel will bring us our best ever pure-bred Black Moscows. We've waited for their babies since they were babies, so yes, these two get names. They're not for sale, but stay tuned for their babies!

The Black Moscow is prized by aquarium owners for its grace and purity of color. A pure-bred Black Moscow will be pure black. However, in the hobby, it is unfortunately common to see so-called "Black Moscows" with an iridescent blue, purple, or even dark green hue, and/or with patterns of those colors at the base of the tail. Black Moscow Guppies sell for a premium for a good reason, so make sure you're getting what you deserve!
Our Black Moscow Guppies are special, having been carefully bred here in the USA in peaceful, sparkling clear tanks to ensure their health and pure dark black color. Even under a strong light, it is difficult to even see the ripples in the fins as they swim because of the depth of the black.
To set you (and the fish we love) up for success, we only sell Black Moscows in combinations, as this is important to establish them in a new tank. Baby fish are best for non-beginners, or in tanks with no other fish that would eat them. Note that we cannot tell the gender of fry, so we sell five to improve the odds of getting you one of each, but we cannot guarantee any gender combination for fry. |
